Rich excels at creating economic value through creative structuring of complex, high value contracts and thorough understanding of company priorities.

Before joining Sneed, Vine & Perry, P.C. in 2020, Rich was general counsel at Aspen Heights Partners, where he oversaw all legal activities of the real estate development company with over $1 billion in asset valuation.

During his seven years at the company, Rich negotiated and executed all Aspen Heights project acquisitions and dispositions, including The Independent condominium tower in downtown Austin; oversaw and was responsible for all legal aspects of affiliated companies across more than thirty locations; negotiated all investor joint venture and loan agreements; handled all legal aspects of construction matters; and oversaw the insurance portfolio for all affiliated companies.

He was lead negotiator for Aspen Heights on nine multifamily asset recapitalizations with over $400 million in valuation and negotiated multiple corporate investments among many other accomplishments and responsibilities.

Rich also served as Chief Counsel for Shell Vacations Club and Vice President for Legal & Governmental Affairs for Shell Vacations LLC, where he implemented the first timeshare franchise program in the United States spanning 16 states and two Canadian provinces.

While at Shell, Rich managed all legal issues and regulatory processes for timeshare operations, negotiated multiple resort acquisitions including equity joint venture agreements, and was a key player in negotiating and executing the sale of Shell Vacations to Wyndham.

Pro Bono Activities

Rich served as counsel to Aspen Heights Awake, the non-profit charity established by Aspen Heights Partners for local charities. He has also provided pro bono services to Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas and the Notre Dame Legal Aid Clinic, representing clients in divorce, child custody, nonprofit formation, and commercial disputes.
