Elizabeth A. McFarland is of counsel at Sneed, Vine & Perry, P.C., where her practice focuses on developing and administering plans for legacy protection and wealth succession for small business owners, private individuals, and families, with an emphasis on preserving asset value and minimizing tax liabilities and other financial risks.

Elizabeth practices out of the firm’s Georgetown, Texas office in Williamson County.

Experience

Elizabeth joined Sneed, Vine & Perry, P.C. in 2021 after owning her own law office for nearly 8 years.

Previously, Elizabeth was a civil defense litigator at Dell Graham, one of Florida’s oldest law firms, where she defended hospitals, medical practitioners, government agencies, and private businesses in lawsuits for malpractice, negligence, premise liability, and general tort law.

Prior to Dell Graham, Elizabeth worked for six years as a Judge Advocate General in the U.S. Army, serving in a variety of assignments as legal advisor to Army commanders. This included providing timely and mission-focused counsel regarding matters of international and operational law, military justice, state and federal regulations, and civil matters affecting Soldiers’ readiness for worldwide deployment. Her assignments included: deployments to Mosul, Iraq and Doboj, Bosnia-Herzegovina; Chief of Legal Assistance and Claims, Fort Hood, Texas; Administrative Law Attorney, III Corps and Fort Hood, Texas; Senior Trial Counsel, Fort Hood, Texas; Military Judge, Florida Army National Guard; and Trial Defense Counsel, Army Reserves.

Elizabeth also served as a military intelligence officer for four years, at Fort Stewart, Georgia and Doboj, Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Community Involvement

Elizabeth is active in the Georgetown community where she is a member of both the Georgetown ISD Board of Trustees and the GISD Education Foundation, and she also serves as Trustee for the Samaritan Center. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Georgetown, the YMCA Georgetown Founders Committee, Team Red White and Blue Veteran’s outreach program, and she is the nonprofit legal advisor to Seeds of Strength and A Gift of Time.
