Chance Counts is an Associate Attorney with Sneed, Vine & Perry, P.C., where his practice focuses on Commercial Real Estate and Business & Corporate Law. He also has experience in Estate Planning and Residential Real Estate.
Chance has represented clients ranging from individual landowners to multi-million-dollar companies in Texas and Nebraska, where his work included negotiating solar and wind leases, assisting with the sale and purchase of commercial real estate, as well as farm and ranch land, advising on utility and pipeline easements, and guiding small businesses through acquisitions, sales and corporate matters. He is also experienced in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, leases, wills, trusts, deeds and other business and real estate documents.
Before joining Sneed, Vine & Perry, P.C., Chance practiced with Baylor Evnen Wolfe & Tannehill LLP in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he handled commercial and agricultural real estate transactions, advised corporate and nonprofit clients on compliance and governance issues, and negotiated renewable energy leases.
Earlier in his career, he practiced with Baird, Crews, Schiller & Whitaker P.C. in Temple, Texas, where he guided clients through real estate transactions including 1031 like-kind exchanges and energy leases, advised on business planning and entity formation, and represented clients in all other kinds of general transactional matters.
Active in the legal and civic community, Chance previously served as President of the Bell County Young Lawyers Association, participated in the Leadership Lincoln civic engagement program, and is a member of the Alumni Board of the Nebraska Delta Upsilon Fraternity.
He has also volunteered with the Little River Academy Volunteer Fire Department, and as a tax preparation assistant with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, assisting low-income individuals and families.
