Pierce P. MacGuire is an associate attorney at Sneed, Vine & Perry, P.C., where his areas of practice include banking, business transactions, real estate, and general civil litigation. He prides himself on forming relationships with clients, taking the time to understand their objectives and then executing a plan to achieve them.
Pierce practices out of the firm’s Georgetown, Texas office in Williamson County.
Pierce has successfully prosecuted and defended cases involving asset purchases and mergers, commercial transactions, intellectual property, real property, and professional liability. His clients have included international corporations, a cosmetic surgery practice, major Travis County real estate developers, a fossil prospector, and rural homeowners.
Pierce’s background in litigation allows him to spot and resolve issues in real estate and business transactions before they become disputes. He has seen what causes deals to go wrong, which helps him make sure they go right. To that end, he strives to draft complex agreements and other instruments in the simplest and clearest terms to minimize the potential for misunderstanding. At the same time, he is able to anticipate risk factors for his clients and ensure those risks are addressed.
Pierce also has experience with landlord-tenant disputes, bankruptcy, estate planning, mass torts, and premises liability.
Before joining Sneed, Vine & Perry, P.C., Pierce was an associate at a boutique commercial litigation firm in Austin.
Pierce serves on the Board of Visitors of his alma mater Southwestern University.
